She might be one of the 10 most beautiful women in the world, but Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is not going to be kissing just anyone on screen. Ever since her marriage to Abhishek Bachchan, she has been much more selective in the roles she chooses, preferring not to do extramarital affairs or overtly sexual scenes out of respect for her husband, Abhishek.

Even in the roles she takes for Hollywood, Ash is being quite circumspect, outright refusing to wear several skimpy outfits in the new Pink Panther 2 movie she is shooting with Steve Martin.

Rumor has it that The Bollywood hunk John Abraham wants to do a film with Aishwarya and convinced Sriram Raghavan to make a film for the two of them. Aishwarya and Abraham were once scheduled to make a film called Happy Birthday, but the project was shelved. Apparently, Abraham wants another chance.

It seems that Ash it not all that eager to do a love story, though, with her reluctance to do sexual scenes. The film may have an ace in the hole, however. Raghavan has gotten Roham Sippy to direct the film and Sippy is a longtime friend of Abhishek’s and has gone to Boston to talk to both Aishwarya and Abhishek to encourage her to do the film.

So, only time will tell, but maybe we will get to see some steamy footage of Ash on the big screen after all. We can only hope!

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is, in my humble opinion, one of the, if not the, most beautiful women in the world (but then again, you already knew that). Most women in that position would be overly concerned about their looks, always having to wear the latest fashion to show off how beautiful they are. Yes, most women would, but not Ash!

I was reading in the India Times that, according to one of Ash’s designers, Aishwarya prefers a baggy shirt and blue jeans, and would rather wear a pair of loose overalls than a designer evening gown.

Other things revealed in the article were Ash’s favorite colors: red, white and blue, and her favorite designers, Neeta Lulla and Shahab Durazi. Apparently, the thing she like most about Durazi’s clothes is the way they fit her. Hey, we like the way they fit her too!

One thing I think everyone has always admired about Aishwarya is her easy grace; she always seems very comfortable with herself. Of course, I think the former Miss World would look awesome in a potato sack, as long as she was in it!

Well, everyone knows that, but that is also what tons of Chinese youths are saying these days. In the Shenzhen province of China the kids are going nuts for Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, stockpiling copies of her films. In addition, many local Chinese cable networks run her films, along with other Bollywood productions, on television with Chinese subtitles.

When interviewed, the local kids just raved about Ash and her beauty, as well as her talent. Asked what their favorite films where, standard answers included Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Devdas and Aur Pyar Ho Gaya.

It is good to see that Aishwarya is getting some attention from China and is developing loyal fans, and after all, who can blame them?

After all, she is one of the 50 most beautiful women in India, has her own wax statue at Madame Tussaud’s and one of the ten most beautiful women n the world. What is NOT to like?

Yesterday, I told you rumors were flying that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was going to be in Sir Ben Kingsley’s upcoming movie about the building of the Taj Mahal.

Since then, I have scoured all the sites and all of them are now reporting it as a fact, a done deal. Apparently, Ash will in fact star as the favorite wife of Shah Jahan, the Mughul Emperor.

The film has caused a big buzz in film circles for a number of reasons, but largely for the cast. Sir Ben Kingsley, winner of four Academy awards for his role in Ghandi is to play Shah Jahan. His favorite wife, Mumtaz Mahal will be played by the very beautiful Aishwarya and his daughter, Jahanara will be played by former model and Bollywood actress Bipasha Basu.

In all, a star studded cast, with the very talented Sir Ben directing, with at least two beautiful ladies acting… What else can we ask for? This is a movie I am just going to have to see.

The media is all excited and rumors are floating that Aishwarya and Bbipasha will team up in Sir Ben Kingsley’s upcoming movie about the building of the Taj Mahal. As you no doubt remember, Sir Ben won four academy awards for his portrayal of Ghandi.

The rumor is that the incredibly beautiful Aishwarya will play Mumtaz Mahal, the favorite wife of Shah Jahan, the fifth Mughal emperor. Shah Jahan built the Taj Mahal as a monument to her. Ben Kingsley is planning on playing Shah Jahan himself.

The Shah’s daughter is supposed to be played by the very beautiful former model Bipasha Basu.

So far, I can’t find anyone saying when production is slated to begin. In fact, I can’t yet find anyone that has confirmed that Ash has agreed to it, just rumors right now. Some sites are saying she has agreed, others are saying she has not.

After all, she is tied up with Steve Martin, filming the second Pink Panther movie right now. If I find anyone that has confirmed that Ash has actually agreed to be in the Taj Mahal movie, I will be sure and let you know.

It is old news that Aishwarya Rai and Rani Mukherjee, once best friends, now don’t get along. Everyone knows the story; Rani replacing Ash on Chalte Chalte, which turned out to be a huge hit. Then Ash went and married Rani’s friend Abhishek Bachchan in April, and then snubbed Rani Mukherjee from the guest list.

Well, it seems there is no reconcilliation on the horizon…

Rani just finished production of Laaga Chunari Mein Daag (Journey of a Woman) and invited the entire cast to dinner, including costar Bachchan and his wife, Ash.

Neither of them came. Also not showing up was Abhishek’s mother, Jaya, who was also in the cast. Jaya did, however, call and express her regrets, claiming illness. But what about Abhishek and Aishwarya? Where were they, and why did they not show up?

We don’t know. No explination was given, and apparently people in the Bachchan house are not talking. We do know that while the film was shooting on location in Switzerland , Ash flew there to visit Abhishek and his mother.

The rumors say that Ash was making mean statements about Rani’s makeup. Perhaps Aishwarya is not ready to bury the hatchet just yet.

The English woman’s magazine Femina announced that they will launch a special commemorative issue to celebrate India’s 50 most beautiful women. The special issue will have five different covers, with one of them featuring Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan!

The special issue was announced at a party at the Grand Hyatt in Mumbai, with Bollywood actress and star Bipasha Basu doing the unveiling.

We all know that the lovely Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is currently shooting Pink Panther 2 alongside Steve Martin. We also know that she’s refusing to bare it all in that movie. But it can’t be all work and no play for the former Miss World.

What you see here is the Ash taking a stroll through the streets of Boston with husband Abhishek. Naturally, the couple is dressed very casually with Aishwarya donning stretch jeans and yellow v-neck top. Abhishek was wearing jeans as well, along with a comfortable white t-shirt.
