Contrary to earlier reports that Aishwarya Bachchan would star in the hit American TV series “Heroes” for an eight episode stint, new stories are now indicating that she will not, in fact, be doing the show and she will not be taking on the role of Shanti Suresh, the sister of Dr. Mohinder Suresh.

Of course, this new news — as reported by Heroes The Series dot Com — has not been confirmed either, so where this leads us, as big fans of the former Miss World, is in a limbo of conflicting reports. The debunking of Aishwarya’s “Heroic” ways was done by Kristin of E! Online, a Hollywood news and gossip site.

If Aishwarya did in fact sign on to star in Heroes for a number of episodes, you would think that NBC would be promoting her appearance in an effort to build up publicity for the show in India and among Bollywood enthusiasts. At the same time, they may want to keep it hush-hush in order to not spoil the storyline for the upcoming season, which will not begin until this fall.
