Here’s a rather strange story for you. ‘Pa’, a light comedy movie to be directed by R Balakrishnan, was originally set to star the newly formed triumvirate of Bollywood cinema. Everyone fully expected that Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan would be the main attractions for this movie, but this may no longer be the case. Father and son Amitabh and Abhishek should still be in ‘Pa’, but the lovely former Miss World Aishwarya just might get the snub.
The current rumor is that Ash’s role in the movie will be instead by taken by Vidya Balan for reason not yet explained. Perhaps the lovely Mrs. Bachchan has other projects that interfere with the shooting schedule, but it is quite fascinating that they may be ousted from a movie that stars her husband and father-in-law in favor of someone with whom the family has no relation.
You may remember director Balakrishnan from his first feature film, ‘Cheeni Kum.’ Producer Sunil Manchanda and sound artist Illayaraja, both of whom also worked on ‘Cheeni Kum’, will be back for ‘Pa’.
