Aishwarya to Attend Cannes as a Bachchan

Aishwarya and Abhishek left for France early this morning for their honeymoon, but it seems that they might be staying in Europe for longer than initially expected. Aishwarya — who will be changing her surname to Bachchan to officially join the family’s huge Bollywood empire — has attended the Cannes Film Festival in the past, usually as a representative of L’Oreal, but this year, she will be there as part of the Bachchan clan, accompanied by new husband Abhishek, as well as in-laws Amitabh and Jaya.
The 60th Cannes Film Festival is scheduled to kick off on May 16th, mere days after the honeymoon of Ash and Abhi comes to its fortnight conclusion. At the festival, attendees will have the opportunity to watch Guru by Mani Ratnam, an epic film starring the newlywed couple.
