It looks like everyone is cashing in on all the publicity surrounding the wedding of Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan. A movie is reportedly in the works, titled Aishwarya Rai. As you can probably guess, the Bollywood film will be a biography of sorts of the former Miss World, highlighting certain events in her life. That said, filmmaker Shakeel Saifee did mention that the new movie would have “parts of fiction” added to the story.

It is not known whether Ash turned down an offer, but we do hear that aspiring Ashwini Kale will be playing the title role. Kale, in addition to her relatively limited acting career, has also worked as a choreographer in the past.

To fill the role of the green-eyed starlet, Saifee considered casting Sneha Ullal, an actress that bears a closer resemblance to the infinitely beautiful Aishwarya Rai. Unfortunately, Saifee only has Rs 1.5 crore to spend on this movie: Ullal’s asking price was too high for the film’s budget. This could also explain why Shakeel could not cast Ash to play Ash.

The plot of the film will be similar to Bhansali’s Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. It will involve a love triangle between Aishwarya, Abhishek and Salman. Shakeel said that this film “will be a gift” to Aishwarya.
